The GFD Congres was held, alongside the Comemoration of the International Day of Persons With Disabilities Commemoration from 9 to 11 February 2024, bought together Disabled People's Organisations (DPOs) representatives forming the Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD) drawn from various parts of The Gambia.
GFD Chairman- Muhammed Krubally was re-elected unopposed to steer the affairs of The Gambia Federation of the Disable (GFD) for a four year second term in office. Other newly elected GFD Board members are: Jabel Ceesay- First Vice Chairman, Modou Gaye- 2nd Vice Chairman, Abdoulie A.O Bah- Secretary General, Ousman Bojang- re-elected Treasurer; Ordinary Board Members are: Ms Jarrai Jabbi, Madam Fatoumatta Fatty, Alhagie Ceesay and Mr Sheriff Kinteh. I wish you all successful tenure of office

VDF gave additional 3,689 Bags of Sugar, others to orgs, institutions, political parties, Christian Council, others

Last Tuesday donation also included various political parties in The Gambia. The Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD) commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD)on December 3, 2024, alongside its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Basse, the provincial capital of Upper River Region (URR). This event served as a beacon of hope for persons with disabilities (PWD) in The Gambia, emphasizing the commitment to safeguarding their rights and promoting empowerment. March and Speeches: The day commenced with a march from Trust Bank to the Youth Centre in Basse, led by students and GFD members.
