Celebrating 30 years- 1989-2019, Building Together an Africa Without Human Rights Violations

Dans le cadre des élections présidentielles qui se sont tenues ce samedi 23 février 2019 au Nigéria, la représentation nationale du Groupe de Travail a mené un certain nombre d'activités qui se sont inscrites dans la perspective de la mise en oeuvre du projet régional :“Femmes et jeunes dans les processus électoraux en Afrique de l’Ouest et le Sahel’’ :Mobilisation des femmes et des jeunes du Groupe de Travail Femmes, Jeunes, Paix et Sécurité en Afrique de l’Ouest et le Sahel pour l’Implication des Femmes et des Jeunes dans l’organisation des élections Présidentielles libres, apaisées et transparentes au Nigéria.

In light of the presidential elections held this Saturday, 23 February 2019 in Nigeria, the National representation of the Working Group conducted a number of activities which were part of the regional project: “Women and Youth in electoral processes in West Africa and the Sahel”: Mobilization of the Working Group on Women, Youth, Peace and Security in West Africa and the Sahel for the Involvement of Women and Youth in the Organization of Free, Appeased and Transparent Presidential Elections in Nigeria.

VDF gave additional 3,689 Bags of Sugar, others to orgs, institutions, political parties, Christian Council, others

div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Vision Development Foundation yesterday, Tuesday handed over 3,689 bags of sugar in 10 Kilos as part of their annual Ramadan Gifts donations to needy communities in The Gambia, conducted in an exemplary leadership style coordinated by Momodou Turo Darboe- VDF CEO, who is leading by example in supporting Muslims during Ramadan as required by Islam. Last Tuesday donation also included various political parties in The Gambia. GFD’s 2024 IDPwD Commemoration, AGM in Basse breath breeze of hopes for PWD

The Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD) commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD)on December 3, 2024, alongside its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Basse, the provincial capital of Upper River Region (URR). This event served as a beacon of hope for persons with disabilities (PWD) in The Gambia, emphasizing the commitment to safeguarding their rights and promoting empowerment. March and Speeches: The day commenced with a march from Trust Bank to the Youth Centre in Basse, led by students and GFD members.
