VDF Donates 2525 bags in 10 kilos Gambian Security Forces, Institutions, Vulnerable Groups

On 22 March 2024 Vision Development Foundation (VDF) held it's 3rd day of Ramadan Sugar distribution to needy communities and institutiondsat a presentation held at the foundation's Churchill's Town branch office in Serekunda. A total of 2525 bags in 10 Kilos was earmarked for beneficiaries from various Gambia National Army Baracks and units namely - Yundum, Fajara, Basse, Gambia Navy, Defend Headquarters, Joint Services Headquarters, Farafenni Military Baracks; Mobile Traffic Unit, Bundung Police, Borehole Police, Serrekunda Police, Talinding Police, FajiKunda Police Post, Bakau Police, Kairaba Police, Brikama Police, Kotu Police, Wellingara Police, Anti Crime, Kanifing Police Station, Gambia Printing Services, Prison Services, Gambia Fire Services, Immigration Department, Farato Police Station, Brikama Salandinto Police Post, Nawec Head Office, Nawec Water Tank Serrekunda, Gambia Printing, Eye Africa TV, GRTS, Pa Nderry, Gamtel, Mr Mbye, Laye, and other vulnerable groups. Needy community members also gathered to receive breads, dates, tea, sugar and cash for their daily Ramadan Fast breaking.
Mr Saihou Fofana,VDF Baoard Member and Public Relation Officer (PRO) said the donations are made possible by their Foundation's able - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Mr Momodou Turo Darboe who is single handedly sponsoring the donations, due to his believe in the spirit of sharing and caring, especially for the needy communities.
He said those receiving the donations are appreciating the gesture, while assuring that trend will be continued. He called on the beneficiaries to distribute the donated items judiciously, and called on them to pray for the foundation in their commitments to continue the gesture.
